WHERE WE ARE LOCATED

The Woodstock Resort is located at Naldehra, perched at an altitude of 2,200 meters, just 250 metres short of the par 68, 18 Hole Golf Course with 16 Greens and 18 Tees. It is 21 kilometres away from Shimla and 20 kilometres away from Kufri on the Shimla-Tattapani road. While Fagu is 25 kilometres away, Chail lies at a distance of 45 kilometres from the hotel.

Naldehra can be visited all around the year. Summers are pleasantly cool with the temperatures fluctuating in a range between 15 degrees centigrade to 28 degrees centigrade. The winters are extremely cold with the temperatures below zero degrees centigrade. Snowfall in the region, which historically has taken place in the month of December, has lately (over the last fifteen years) been happening in January or early February every year.

HOW TO GET HERE

By Car: The Woodstock is connected by road from Chandigarh (137 Kms), from Kalka (106 Kms) and from Delhi (366 Kms). The drive from Delhi to Naldehra takes approximately 8 to 9 hours and from Chandigarh to Naldehra, approximately 4 hours depending on traffic conditions. Travel on NH 22, (also known as the Hindustan Tibet road, it runs from Ambala through Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh up to Khab on the Chinese border) until you reach shimla. Turn Left from the first traffic lights through a tunnel onto the bypass going through Lakkar Bazar towards Dhalli and go through another tunnel on the right. Keep following the signs for Mashobra/Naldehra till you reach the Dhalli Chowk. Make a left and follow the road to Naldehra which is 13 km away. You can’t miss the signs of Woodstock on your right.
BY Air: Direct flights are available from Delhi to Shimla.The closest airport is Jubberhatti 43 km away from Naldehra. From the airport one can hire a taxi to get to Woodstock, Naldehra. The drive is approximately 1.5 hours
BY Train: Fast trains run daily from Delhi to Chandigarh and Kalka. From Kalka, over five train connections are available daily on all days of the week up to Shimla. Popularly known as toy trains, they run on a quaint narrow gauge railway, built in 1903. The Indian Railways have also refurbished the Rail Car for those wanting a more exclusive experience on the lines of the British Raj days. The travel time is approximately 5 hours. You can get off at the shimla railway station. We will arrange a pickup. Please check the Indian Railways website (www.indianrail.gov.in) for further information and reservation.
By Bus: Volvos, deluxe buses leave at frequent intervals for Shimla from all cities and towns. We are approximately 21 kms from the Shimla Bus Stand. A taxi can be hired to reach Woodstock, Naldehra.
